The most civilized lunch in the area!
I have been going to this restaurant for business lunch for 20 years and have never had anything less than a great experience. Today’s meal was particularly notable with the fish of the day, which was just delicious and generous in portion size. We had a very relaxed business lunch in a quiet setting, with exceptional service. They do the best business lunch in the region every day except Monday, and there is also a private room that you can reserve for customer or closing lunches. This chef is killing it and the restaurant is also open for dinner and weekend wine tastings. While the location is a little eclectic, know that going in but go for the wonderful food and service experience, plus one of the deepest wine lists in the region, very friendly in its pricing. Why didn't we go sooner
We live close to this restaurant and for years have been meaning to try it. Finally made at there. The location and outside are deceiving, but once you enter the dining area, it's intimate and charming. We ate at the restaurant upstairs. There is casual dining at the bar downstairs, we didn't try that. White table clothes, nice lighting and very good service. Our group tried many things off the menu and everyone was very happy with their choices. The Beet Salad, Salmon Gravlax, Gazpacho Soup and Foie Gras were all ordered as appetizers. Personally, I had the Salmon Gravlax and it was thinly sliced with a wonderful honey mustard sauce. For entrees the Diver Scallops were a hit, the Lamb Shank and Sea Bass were all tried. The seafood dishes were buttery and tender with a risotto served with the Scallops and a vegetable medley with the sea bass. Subtle flavorings that are layered really made the dishes stand out. Our server advised us that the summer menu would be changing after Labor Day. Looking forward to see what is offered next. This is a good choice for a special meal. More from TripAdvisor
"It was amazing! A 75th Birthday was made so special by the WineSellar & Brasserie! We like to sit at the bar! The staff are wonderful and caring. Making sure everything you want you get. The chef made a special dessert that make your mouth water! A great end to an amazing night. We will be back soon! Keep our seats warm!!" LouAnne Stewart
"I'm not sure who runs this page (this was from Instagram), but I just wanted to say that I had the privilege of visiting your restaurant a couple weeks back during a two-day trip to the west coast, and it was an absolutely incredible experience! The food was imaginative, the staff was super friendly, and the wine was out of this world. I really hope to return one day!" @marcus_conquers_cooking
It's a little hidden gem in Sorrento Valley. I have never been upstairs for dinner, I normally just get drinks during happy hour downstairs. The drinks are good, the bartender is nice...and the prices are good. Tip: The bread! They work with a bakery to make their own bread, it's delivered on Friday (and you can buy a loaf if you - I would only do this on Friday). I love this bread!! Also, there is a store front - and they have good wines to choose from so it's also a retail store. If you work in Sorrento Valley - try this place out for happy hour. More from Yelp
"Great place to have a glass of wine and some good food. Very quiet, can hear each other for a good chat. Food was amazing - had the Tuesday tacos, the mushroom toast, and the cheese plate. 7 or 8 choices for wines by the glass. Great place for a happy hour, particularly if you're already in that area. You can wait out the traffic with a glass instead of fighting through it." Toni J – More from Google
