About Grgich Hills Estate
Grgich Hills Estate was founded in 1977 by legendary winemaker Miljenko “Mike” Grgich and partners, built on the reputation Grgich earned when his Chardonnay won at the famed Judgment of Paris. Mike Grgich’s role in the 1976 Paris tasting helped put California wine on the world stage, and his commitment to quality shaped Grgich Hills’ focus on expressive, age worthy wines. Grgich Hills emphasizes estate-grown fruit and sustainable practices; its vineyards are certified organic and biodynamic, and the winery produces signature Chardonnays, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Merlot, and specialty bottlings.
