About Larry Hyde and Hyde de Villaine
Larry Hyde is a longtime Napa viticulturist who transformed a Carneros parcel into the renowned Hyde Vineyard, supplying fruit to many top producers. In 2000 the Hyde family partnered with the de Villaine family of Burgundy (led by Aubert de Villaine) to form Hyde de Villaine (HdV), a project that blends Old World finesse with New World fruit, focusing on single‑vineyard expression and minimal intervention winemaking. HdV wines are known for minerality, balance, and food‑friendly acidity, making them ideal for multi‑course pairing.
